Career Mash

I went through the website and I learned that I my Career Mash type is an innovator. I am an innovator because creative, imaginative and very curious. Jobs that relate to my personality of being an innovator are app designer, ethical hacker/security, data analyst, bioinformatics research and robotics engineer. Innovators are university researchers mashing up their skills with tech to open new doors into every field. Economonic professors use google-like tools to mine business data for secret or hidden trends. Biologists will program computers to create a new and dramatic type of animation of human cells and invent 3D molecules that may be able to cure cancer. Innovators are also designers of smart machines that are used in things we use on a daily basis. For example, computers, robots, microelectronics and communication devices like cellphones. They combine computer software with tiny, super specialized physical inventions like sensor networks for smart green buildings.

Texting in Social Situations

Image From Google
I think texting during social situations is unnecessary. I think texting during social situations is unnecessary because if you are at a social event you should be socializing with other people instead of texting on your phone. In addition, if you are texting during a social situation you are showing that the social situation is boring since you took out your phone. However, there are some exceptions to text during social situations. An exception could be that you are texting that person once saying that you can’t text them because you are in a social situation. Another exception where you can text is if someone was informing you that there was an emergency. Remember that if you’re texting during a social situation you are blocking people out, therefore no one will want to approach you. Lastly, texting during social situation is not necessary.

I find it very rude if you’re talking to someone and they proceed to text. I think it is very rude because that person is technically just ignoring you when they should be giving you their whole entire attention. When someone is talking to you, they always deserve your whole entire attention because you are showing respect. If you continue to text while someone is talking, you are disrespecting that person. In addition, the person that is texting is giving off the impression that texting is more important that what you have to say. Lastly, whenever someone is talking, don’t text because they deserve your respect by you listening.

5 etiquette rules for texting

1.To avoid temptation of texting, turn off your phone or don’t even bring it to a social event.
2.Don’t text at social events unless it is an emergency.
3.If someone is texting you, tell them you have to go because you are at a social event.
4.Don’t leave your phone in front of you because you will be tempted to pick it up and check your messages.
5.If you are talking to a group of friends and texting, put that person on speaker phone so you can all talk. Therefore, no one is left out of the conversation.
